ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Hogan has a B.A. from Lee University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Regent University.

During his years in the corporate world, his certifications included 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Whale Done, Situational Leadership, Situational Service, ASSE, Achieve Global, and Who Moved My Cheese. His past teaching experiences include time at Agape Bible College in Accra, Ghana, Emmanuel College, Trinity College of Florida, Rasmussen College, and Schiller International University.

He is a former missionary to Ghana, West Africa, a church planter, and a world traveler. He is the 2014 recipient of the Confessore Award for best dissertation and a Beta Phi Scholar. He is the 2013 recipient of the Tom Wade Distinguished Scholar Award. He is a member of the Society of Christian Ethics. His scholarly interests are Leadership, Self-Directed Learning, and Autonomous Learning, which allowed him to present a paper at the 2013 Autonomous Learning World Caucus in Oxford, England.

His most prized possession and passion is his family. He has 6 wonderful children and a beautiful wife of 20 years. He loves playing ping pong and relaxing with the students. As a family, they love adventurous activities, playing ultimate frisbee, and exploring new coffee shops.

He teaches in both the undergraduate and MBA programs at Milligan.
